I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate being supervised by Dr. Williman McHenry, PhD, NCC, LPC-S.

I work with adults navigating grief, life transitions, and the emotional complexity that comes with profound change. Many of my clients arrive feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to move forward after loss, a late ADHD diagnosis, or years of quietly holding everything together.

My approach to therapy is grounded in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), a structured goal-oriented form of psychotherapy that helps individuals identify and replace negative or irrational thought patterns and behaviors with healthier more functional ones. I also work with Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), helping individuals respond to their own suffering, failures, and inadequacies with the same kindness and understanding they would show with a dear friend. These are both evidence-based therapies.

I will collaborate with you not to “fix” you. We don’t fix what is not broken.  But to gain a greater understanding of what life experiences shaped you in order to create a space for clarity, forgiveness, and growth. Together, we slow things down and make sense of what you’re carrying. We will utilize and build practical tools that will support your nervous system, relationships, and daily life.

WHO WE ARE

Widowhood can feel isolating – especially in a culture that expects resilience without recognizing the depth of what has been lost. At The Widow’s Path Counseling, your grief is not minimized, rushed or pathologized.

  • You are allowed to be changed.
  • You are allowed to need support.
  • You are allowed to imagine a life that still holds meaning and purpose.

Widowhood is not just grief – it is a full-life transition. It reshapes identity, relationships, parenting, finances and the way the future is imagined.

My work is informed not only by clinical training, but by lived understanding of the long arc of loss. This allows me to meet clients with depth, nuances, and respect for what cannot be “fixed,” only integrated.

  • Timelines for grief
  • Pressure to “move on” or “find closure”
  • Minimization of your loss or your love
  • Therapy that treats grief as something to get over

Instead, we focus on understanding, stabilization, and meaning-making – at your pace.

  • Widows at any stage of loss or anticipatory grief
  • Individuals navigating identity shifts after the death of a partner
  • Parents supporting children after the loss of a spouse or co-parent
  • Clients seeking meaning, stability, and emotional grounding during major life transitions

Grief does not follow a timeline, and there is no “right” way to do it. Therapy here honors your pace, your story, and the complexity of loving and losing deeply.
